The Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe (RPAZ) Board, Management and Staff wishes to notify its stakeholders that Mr Justice Chipuru has been appointed as the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe (RPAZ) with effect from 01 September 2020.
A vastly experienced public servant, Mr Chipuru served in the education and energy sectors with distinction for 10 years prior to joining the Authority when it was established in 2010. He rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Licensing Officer before his appointment as Acting Chief Executive Officer in February 2019, serving with excellence until his latest appoint.
Mr Chipuru brings experience and an impressive academic portfolio to the Authority. He holds a BSc (Gen) degree in Biology and Geography from the University Of Zimbabwe (UZ), an MSc in Safety, Health and Environmental Management from the Midlands State University (MSU) and an MSc in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Science and Technology (CUT). He is also a holder of a Diploma in Human Resources Development from the Institute of People Management Zimbabwe (IPMZ). Mr Chipuru is an alumnus of the World Nuclear University and the World Institute of Nuclear Security. He is currently studying for an MSc in International Affairs with the Midlands State University (MSU)
